Adey-Linforth is no stranger to The Glassboys having previously held several positions at the club between 2013 and 2024.

He takes charge with the team sitting 20th in the Southern Central Premier, seven points adrift from safety.

The Glassboys ended a 14-game league winless run with a 3-2 victory over Royston Town last Saturday, marking their third league win of the season.

Knights, who was appointed manager in June following Liam McDonald's departure, will now serve as Adey-Linforth's number two.

He will also continue as head of youth development, while Drew Canavan and Billy Walwyn remain as part of the first-team coaching staff.

Adey-Linforth first joined Stourbridge as part of Gary Hackett's coaching staff during a period that saw the club reach the play-offs and embark on several historic FA Cup runs.

During that time, he also took on a variety of roles within the junior and youth sections before he was later named as part of Leon Broadhurst and Stuart Pierpoint's coaching team when they took over in 2021.

In the following 18 months, he helped the club win the Birmingham Senior Cup, reach the last eight of the FA Trophy, and completed his UEFA A Licence - all while continuing to work full-time at Aston Villa.

After leaving the club in early 2024, Adey-Linforth joined former Halesowen Town boss Paul Smith at Bromsgrove Sporting, initially as first-team coach.

He was appointed manager in November following a successful interim period, and with Knights as his assistant, guided Sporting to their highest-ever league finish.

Stourbridge has also welcomed back Richard Batchelor as a coach. Batchelor, who was part of Adey-Linforth's backroom staff at Bromsgrove, retired from playing at the start of the season.

The Glassboys host Harborough Town on Wednesday night before visiting Bury Town on Saturday.
