The Glassboys are winless in their last seven Southern Central Premier games and have lost their past three matches, conceding three goals in each.

Knights’ 19th-placed side visit Stratford Town tomorrow looking to avoid a fourth straight defeat, and the Stourbridge boss has called for his players to rediscover their solid foundations.

“We are very disappointed as a group, it has not gone to plan,” Knights said. “We would have liked to get a lot more points than we have.”

“The form, if I am being brutally honest, has been terrible. It started where we were playing well and just not getting the results, then we stopped playing well, but last Saturday we created lots of chances.

“We are conceding too many sloppy, silly goals, and we have been too easy to score against.

“I am more than confident and sure that it will turn around, and that we can. We just need to go back to the basics of being solid and hard to score against.”

The Glassboys’ last league win came on September 6, and tomorrow’s trip to Stratford will already be their ninth away league game of the season.

Asked if he has concerns should their poor run continue, Knights added: “No. We are just focused on turning it around, the main focus is being positive that we can turn it.

“As soon as we get a win, we know we are more than capable of going on a run.

“We are all grateful for the fans and their time and effort. It’s important that we all stick together through the tough times so we can enjoy the good times together as well.

“It is too early to be saying games are must wins, there is still a lot of football to be played.

“But with the position we are in, we need to start turning the corner and soon.”
