Sutton Coldfield Town 2 Stafford Rangers 3 - Report
Stafford Rangers won their eighth league victory on the season to move up the Evo-Stik Northern Premier thanks to a 94th minute Kieren Westwood winner against Sutton Coldfield Town.
Boro had been looking to take a 2-1 victory into injury time until a 93rd minute free-kick Gurjit Singh levelled only for Westwood to score the winner a minute later.
Rangers got off to the perfect start when Daniel Westwood spotted the goalkeeper off his line after 12 seconds played and lobbed the ball home.
The striker almost had his second within 10 minutes running in at the back post before seeing his close-range shot saved.
However, against the run of play the Royals, who had lost six of their last seven, levelled on 17 minutes with Lee Knight crossing onto the head of Danny O’Callaghan who was unmarked in the box.
Sutton were well in the tie and when Rangers goalkeeper Bradley Caswell flapped at a cross James Beresford almost fired his side in front only to be denied by a last gasp Richard Batchelor clearance.
Rangers were ahead within three second half minutes with Kieran Morris heading home a Izak Reid free-kick for his third goal in four games.
Reid almost sealed the point after an hour when the winger played a one-two with Gregory inside the box before firing just wide.
Then in the 93rd minute a soft free-kick conceded was sent goalwards by Singh and Caswell parried the ball into his own net.
However, a minute later Westwood picked up the ball inside the box before firing in off the post.
