Rushall Olympic ready for derby clash

Rushall Olympic boss John Allen believes the clash against Hednesford Town has all the ingredients to be 'a cracker'.

With both teams flying high in the table, there is plenty at stake, but it is Allen's men who enter the game in slightly better form having won four in a row. They defeated Ilkeston 1-0 last time out and the boss made several changes for that game.

He has a number of options available to him as he plots the downfall of a club that he left to join Rushall back in 1997.

"We go into the game with confidence and momentum," said Allen.

"It's always a big game when we face Hednesford Town but this one has all the ingredients to be a cracker.

"They are a good side, but they won't relish coming here.

"These are the sort of games that you want to be involved in and we are looking forward to it.

"Our preparation will be right; the lads will continue to work hard and be focused.

"They are playing with a lot of belief at the moment and giving me everything, which is all I can ask."

For the clash at Dales Lane, tickets are £9 for adults, £5 for concessions and £3 for under-18s.

Under-12s can get in for free if they are accompanied by a paying adult.

Allen is hoping for a good turnout and added: "It would be nice to think that we can get a good turnout of supporters for this one to create an extra special atmosphere.

"We're playing some good football and I'd encourage as many local fans as possible to come along and get behind us."
