Matt Whitehouse appointed as Willenhall Town boss
Willenhall Town today appointed Matt Whitehouse as manager for the rest of the season.
Whitehouse, a former Willenhall player and head coach replaces Neil Perks, who stood down on Monday after Saturday's 8-0 defeat to former landlords Sporting Khalsa.
His first game in charge will be the home match against Wellington at their new Long Lane home in Essington. Ex-Oldbury United and Rushall Olympic player Whitehouse spent last season as coach at Blackwood in the Midland Combination.
He rejoined the Lockmen at the start of this season as head coach, but left in September to re-join Blackwood as a player. UEFA 'A' licensed coach Mark Cox, who is linked with colleges in the Wolverhampton area, is Whitehouse's assistant.
Cox worked for four years at Stoke City's academy, and was an assistant manager at Chorley and St Helens Town.
