Glassboys move into second place
Stourbridge moved into second place in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier with a deserved 2-0 win over fellow high flyers Sutton Coldfield.
In a game of few chances, Stourbridge took theirs while the Royals failed to bother home goalkeeper Lewis Solly.
From the first real opportunity of the game, Stourbridge took the lead on 28 minutes when Ben Billingham crossed from the left and Karl Hawley rose well to head home.
Hawley set up the second goal 10 minutes later when he expertly laid the ball off for strike partner Justin Richards to score from close range.
The last action of the first half saw Sutton's former Shrewsbury striker Luke Rodgers sent off for a reckless challenge on Billingham.
Glassboys: Solly, Green, Scarr, Tonks (Harris 80), Smikle, Pierpoint, Dodd (Canavan 75), Broadhurst, Hawley, Richards, Billingham (Wright 75). Unused Subs: Penny, Price. Att: 428.
