The club had faced demotion to the fifth tier of non-league football after an initial application to upgrade their ground to a Grade D specification was rejected.

But the decision was overturned at Wembley Stadium yesterday (Fri), meaning the club can remain in the Evo-Stick First Division South.

Officials said they were delighted with the verdict.

The club said in a statement: "Tividale Football Club stated from the very outset that we would not consider appealing against unless we felt we had a very strong case of evidence which would potentially result in the decision being overturned."
