One 8, but the subs don't fare well - Manchester United v Aston Villa player ratings
Rating the Aston Villa players after their 4-4 draw at Manchester United.
Villa flew out of the blocks, but had a disastrous end - how did that shake down in our player ratings?
Zion Suzuki
The best and worst of his game on display. A couple of stunning world class saves but starting to look suspect on crosses. The fourth United goal a shocker.
Costly 5
Taylor Harwood-Bellis
Decent in places in first Prem start but goals came from his side. Devastated at the end.
Battled 6
Victor Lindelof
Superb performance for the bulk of the game and made a mockery of his time at United. But two added time goals came from central areas.
Stunned 7
Pau Torres
Like his central defensive partner, excellent in large part with quality passes but should have seen out the game.
Shellshocked 7
Ian Maatsen
Excellent going forward and linked up well down the left. Still some questions defensively.
Attacking 6
Boubacar Kamara
Sloppy at times and lunged in to concede the penalty that got United back into the game. Did well to keep composure afterwards.
Rash 6
Leon Goretzka
Tidy on the ball when he had it and got a goal but struggled to impose himself on the game before being substituted.
Off the pace 5
Alysson
Bright first half and got the early opening goal. Caused real problems for the United defence and won Villa’s penalty. Perhaps unlucky to be subbed off.
Enterprising 7
John McGinn
Villa leader and showed real steel to fire home a penalty after previous miss from the spot against Fulham last week. Telling that it all went wrong after he went off.
Fight 8
Johan Manzambi
Moments of real quality carrying the ball. Committed opponents and Played intelligent passes. Took a whack before being subbed.
Quality 7
Nicolas Jackson
Another goal and another assist. Led the line well and gave United’s defence real problems again.
Hot 7
Substitutes
