Aston Villa sweat on key defender
Villa are assessing Diego Carlos after the defender pulled out of Tuesday’s Carabao Cup win at Wycombe through injury.
Carlos was due to be on the bench at Adams Park but withdrew after complaining of discomfort during the warm-up.
Though it is hoped the issue is not serious, Villa’s medical staff are monitoring the Brazilian ahead of Sunday’s Premier League match at Ipswich.
