Aston Villa blog: Join the Trust and make your voice heard

I’m going to slightly change my blog today as I’d like to chat about an organisation that I’m a member of and I’d love to invite all you Villa fans to join as well.

It’s the Aston Villa Supporters’ Trust, who can be found online at villatrust.org.uk, writes Justin Hawthorne.

During the last few years – especially under the latter part of Randy Lerner’s tenure and through Dr Tony Xia’s ownership – many fans felt helpless as the club lurched from one disaster to another.

Well I’m here to tell you we have got a voice and the more fans that join, the louder we will be heard.

I know at the moment all seems to be going in the right direction and long may it continue, but as we have seen in the past things can change.

So I implore you to join. My friend and director @HodgsonHoward said: “Join The Aston Villa Supporters Trust for just £5 a year (cost of a pint and a lemonade) and help us make sure the supporters are heard and allowed to safeguard the club and avoid the near catastrophe that almost happened this summer.

“More details in our podcast that you can find on soundcloud that also features fellow director @johnnygould.

“We do these monthly for you. UTV.”

You can also find me on twitter @JUSTIN180676 if you need pointing in the right direction

It really does make a difference and the meetings at Villa Park give all members the chance to meet the men that matter at the top to hear first hand how things are run and question them.
