Villa have been dealt yet another injury blow after it emerged winger Andre Green is again suffering with a hamstring problem.

The 19-year-old missed more than three months after undergoing surgery on his right hamstring back in September.

And Villa boss Steve Bruce has confirmed the player now has an issue with his left hamstring.

With top scorer Albert Adomah now also missing, again due to a hamstring problem, it has left Villa short of cover on the left wing.

Bruce expects Adomah will be out for “a while”. Jack Grealish also will be assessed ahead of Tuesday night’s home game with Preston after missing Saturday’s 2-0 defeat with a calf problem.

“Andre injured the other hamstring last week. It is not the one he had the operation on,” said the boss.

“Albert is going to be (our for) a while. It’s a hamstring and we can’t really rush it. Jack, we will see how he is - he was nowhere near on Friday. We will see how he is tomorrow.”
