Aston Villa transfer news: Carles Gil joins Deportivo La Coruna on-loan
Aston Villa have announced that Carles Gil has joined Deportivo La Coruna on another season-long loan deal.
The winger had previously stated his desire to leave Villa this summer after spending last season in his native Spain with Pepe Mel's squad.
Villa confirmed the news online.
"Carles Gil has returned to Deportivo La Coruna on a season-long loan." read the statement.
"Attacking midfielder Gil will rejoin Pepe Mel’s squad after spending the 2015/16 campaign with the La Liga side.
"Gil joined Villa in January 2015 from Valencia and has made 34 appearances and scored three goals in claret and blue."
Gil isn't likely to wear claret and blue again, as Steve Bruce looks to shift some of the players from previous managerial regimes out.
