Villa fans are beginning to get a glimpse of what winger Albert Adomah can do for the team.

That's the view of striker Jonathan Kodjia, who describes the former Midlesbrough wideman as 'a real asset' to the Villa side.

Adomah created a string of chances in a man-of-the-match performance against Brighton a week ago and Kodjia believes Villa fans are beginning to see what the London-born Ghana international can offer.

Kodjia said: "Albert is very quick, very skilful, a good dribbler, he sets up goals, he scores goals.

"He's a real asset to this team – that's out there on the pitch and in the dressing room, too.

"He has a very strong mentality also. You cannot underestimate this quality. Without a strong mentality, you cannot succeed in professional football.

"I thought his performance in the last game at Brighton was of a real high quality. He was man of the match. He really showed his class. I am sure that will be the level he looks to repeat every week – and I am confident he can do that."

And Kodjia, himself on a goalscoring hot-streak, added: "Albert is a very good footballer. We see that every day in training.

"He's had a few injury problems at the start of the season but now he's getting a run of matches, the fans will see his quality. He is a very good guy – always smiling, always joking."
