Mile Jedinak thrilled by confidence boost following Aston Villa run
Mile Jedinak has rediscovered his confidence thanks to Villa's fine run under new boss Steve Bruce.
The Australia captain has come to the fore in recent weeks to help the Villans go unbeaten in five matches and lift themselves to 14th in the Championship table.
He is set to miss Friday night's trip to Brighton & Hove Albion as he completes his journey back from Thailand, where the Socceroos are playing a World Cup qualifier in the Rajamangala Stadium, and wants to carry his Villa form on to the international stage.
"It's nice that I've come from club level on the back of a few positive results," Jedinak said. "That becomes, to a point, irrelevant when you put on the national team shirt, with a different environment, and different way of doing things.
"But I'd still like to take that bit of confidence, and translate it, and help anyone I can along the way."
Meanwhile, Villa have been linked with a move for goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic, who Bruce worked with at Hull.
