The pair were both due to resume training after missing yesterday's 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest.

Midfielder Tshibola has missed the last two games with a groin injury, while winger Adomah was denied a Villa Park debut after picking up a knock in training last week, following his deadline day move from Middlesbrough.

Di Matteo also has concerns over Mile Jedinak after the midfielder was only fit enough for a place on the bench against Forest.

Villa host Brentford on Wednesday night looking to quickly bounce back from the frustration of the Midlands derby, when Henri Lansbury's late equaliser denied them all three points.

Di Matteo said: "He played with his national side last Thursday and got injured in Australia. He went to Abu Dhabi and only trained on Saturday.

"I'm expecting Adomah and Tshibola to train with the team on Monday. We'll see how it goes in training."
