Wanted duo on the way out of Aston Villa
Brad Guzan and Micah Richards look set to depart Aston Villa with the club battling to keep striker Jordan Ayew.
The 24-year-old – who netted in last night's 1-1 friendly draw at Bristol Rovers – is attracting interest from around the continent.
Greek outfit Olympiacos are the latest club to be linked with a move, while Villa are also thought to have rejected a bid of around £8million from Hamburg for last season's top scorer.
Boss Roberto Di Matteo is eager to keep Ayew on the books and owner Tony Xia this week claimed, on Twitter, that the Ghana international would stay.
But both are braced for more bids before the transfer window closes six weeks from now.
Di Matteo is, meanwhile, eager to move players on and goalkeeper Guzan could be given a free transfer in order to complete a switch to Middlesbrough.
Sunderland are weighing up whether to activate a £5million release clause in defender Richards' contract.
Villa will also allow midfielder Jordan Veretout to leave on loan, with Marseille his most likely destination.
New strikers remain a priority, though Bristol City boss Lee Johnson last night insisted they had received no bids for Jonathan Kodjia.
Reports earlier in the day claimed Villa had lodged a £5million offer. Johnson added: "There has been no bid for Jonathan. Nor would we welcome one."
