Villa striker Jordan Ayew targeted by duo
Aston Villa striker Jordan Ayew is being targeted by Bournemouth and West Ham as the vultures circle upon the club's relegation from the Premier League.
The Express & Star understands the South Coast club are interested in Ayew, one of the very few Villa players to have impressed in dismal season.
The French-born Ghana international, son of great Ghana international Abidi Pele and brother of Swansea City's Andre Ayew, was signed by Villa in a £8.5million move last summer.
After a slow start to Premier League life, he has cemented his place in the Villa front-line, scoring six goals in 23 Premier League appearances for the rock-bottom side.
Ayew is understood to be keen to remain in the Premier League following his switch from French club Lorient last year.
Villa, thrown into chaos by the dual resignations of board members Lord Mervyn King and David Bernstein as well as the suspension of striker Gabby Agbonlahor.
They are expecting a summer of change as the adjust to life in the Championship. Villa this week claimed that chairman Steve Hollis 'is in is currently engaged in extensive negotiations' to sell the club.
