No further Villa action on Gabby Agbonlahor
Aston Villa have taken no further action on striker Gabby Agbonlahor after completing an investigation into his conduct.
The club captain was left out of Saturday's 4-0 defeat at home to Chelsea, as Villa probed his behaviour while on holiday.
Caretaker boss Eric Black made the decision, while Villa's new football board looked into his trip to Dubai over the international break.
Agbonlahor was pictured apparently smoking from a shisha pipe and it's thought the bad publicity generated was the catalyst for the club's action.
Micah Richards, Villa's on-field skipper, was also pictured in Dubai, but his conduct was not investigated and he played against Chelsea.
Agbonlahor trained with the first-team squad on Friday morning, but was then sent home for the weekend. He returned to the fold yesterday.
He's currently the club's longest-serving player and has more than two years left to run on his contract.
But he's become a focus of fan frustration during Villa's slide towards the Championship.
The claret and blues are currently bottom of the Premier League, 15 points adrift of safety with six games to play.
