Reginald Ray leaves as Aston Villa No 2

Aston Villa have confirmed the departure of assistant manager Reginald Ray.

Published Apr 1, 2016

The 47-year-old joined the club as Remi Garde's No 2 in November.

But following Garde's exit by mutual consent earlier this week, Ray has also left the club after the terms of his departure were agreed.

Eric Black, who was brought in as first-team coach in January, has taken over as caretaker manager.

Fitness coach Robert Duverne, another of Garde's appointments, also remains at the club.
