Villa fans still retain the right to protest

As an Aston Villa fan this season, we have many reasons to be unhappy at what has unfolded before our eyes.

We have decided that protesting against what has gone on is our right and something we should be doing,

There are two things that I feel should happen over the coming weeks as the season draws to its excruciating end.

Firstly, the players need to know just how much they as 'professionals' have let themselves and most of all the fans down.

The lack of effort and fight shown by most if not all of our playing squad, throughout this season, is something I haven't seen in all my years following this great club.

Yes, occasionally you go to a game and come out feeling that the team just didn't want to know, or just wasn't at the races on that particular day.

As a fan you have to accept that this happens from time to time. What we will never accept though is this lack of care and fight over a whole season, it's quite simply unforgivable.

The No 1 hate figure has now been removed from the club in the shape of the not so fantastic Mr Fox.

I think that if you want to take your frustrations out on anyone now it should be the shambles of the playing side of our club that should feel the venom.

Not that I'm advocating any serious trouble. Secondly, once we reach the end of this season given the changes announced this week.

I now feel that the structure at the top is finally there to give us a good chance of bouncing back up.

So, I urge you to make next season the polar opposite of this and all get back behind this glorious club and do our bit to put us back where we rightfully belong.
