Boss Remi Garde hammering home his Villa plans
Villa boss Remi Garde is preaching the mantra of practice makes perfect into his team as he bids for Premier League survival.
The Frenchman has revealed he is hammering home his footballing philosophy to his players and is not afraid of repeating himself.
"We've been doing the same as we did in my first three days because in football you cannot create something different every day," said the former Lyon head coach.
"You have to repeat and then repeat again – that's how we work and what we have to do to try to win games."
He added: "The point against Man City was very, very good for everybody.
"The commitment pleased me most with the new way of playing because a new manager has his own ideas and we only had three training sessions."
Garde spoke about the loss of Jordan Amavi to injury, but said he is confident his countryman will make a full recovery.
He added: "He was a big asset for the team.
"Unfortunately he will have surgery, a long recovery – it's the first time for him
