Swansea fight to keep Aston Villa target Ki
Aston Villa's chase for Ki Sung-Yeung took a new twist today after Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins insisted they are preparing to offer him a new contract.

The Swans want to hand the South Korean international a long-term contract after he impressed on loan at Sunderland last season.
Villa are reportedly preparing a £6m bid for Ki and the Black Cats are also in the hunt, but Jenkins is keen for him to stay at the Liberty Stadium.
He said: "Ideally, we would like to tie Ki up on a long-term contract. There's no hiding from that."
Villa boss Paul Lambert has targeted Ki and was believed to have spoken to the midfielder over the weekend, as he looks to strengthen his squad.
