Jamie Hughes at the Grand Prix

Jamie Hughes will make his debut at darts’ World Grand Prix next month.

The Tipton thrower, nicknamed Yozza, has qualified for one of the main events on the PDC calendar by being one of the top 16 players on the ProTour Order of Merit.

Reigning champion Michael van Gerwen is the number one seed at the event, which will have a record £450,000 of prize money to play for.
