Midlands gets ringside seats... it’s a bout time!
March is shaping up to be the biggest month for Midlands boxing in many a year.
Two huge fights have already been announced, with a third understood to be imminent, all on separate shows and all taking place in the region.
The still-to-be confirmed date concerns Tyler Denny, the Rowley Regis fighter who is scheduled to make the first defence of the European middleweight title he won by stopping Italy’s Matteo Signani in front of a packed Wolverhampton Civic Hall in November.
An announcement on the date and location is believed to be imminent, though this is boxing, so let’s not say any more about it for the moment.
The two fights already pencilled in are mouthwatering enough for an area which, if you will pardon the pun, has often struggled to punch its weight when compared to the promotional behemoths of London and Manchester.
