Holyfield, who famously had part of his ear chewed off by Mike Tyson, is appearing at Bar Sport in Cannock on September 25.

The big hitter is flying over from America in September and will be appearing across four venues in the UK including the Premier Suite at the bar in Cannock.

Tickets are now on sale starting from £50 which includes a five-course meal and entertainment including a comedian. Sky TV's boxing announcer Mike Goodall will be compering the event.

Scott Murray, who owns Bar Sport and the Premier Suite in High Green, said: "It is a massive coup not just for Bar Sport but for Cannock itself.

"It is a fantastic opportunity for boxing fans to come along and listen to The Real Deal talk about his incredible life in and outside of the ring and have the opportunity to meet him in person and have pictures taken.

"He still remains one of the biggest and most iconic names in boxing."

Holyfield was both a cruiserweight and heavyweight world champion and retired from the ring in October last year, though there are reports he could make a comeback.

In 1990 Holyfield knocked out James 'Buster' Douglas to claim the WBC, WBA, IF and The Ring Heavyweight titles.

He retained the belts three times before suffering his first professional loss to Riddick Bowe in 1992. He then won the title back beating Bowe on a majority decision before then again losing the titles to Michael Moorer in April 1994.

In 1996 he went on to defeat Mike Tyson to win the WBA title and become the first heavyweight fighter since Muhammad Ali to win the world title three times.

Bar Sport, started by Cannock entrepreneur Scott Murray back in 1998, launched a venue in the upmarket town of Wilmslow in Cheshire earlier this summer.

Mr Murray was at the VIP launch of the £1 million Bar Sport Wilmslow in May.

Bar Sport in Cannock has welcomed a host of famous sporting faces over the last 15 years from the worlds of football to boxing.
