Chris Burke believes dressing room harmony will help Birmingham overcome the tough challenges ahead, starting with tomorrow's FA Cup fourth-round tie with Sheffield United.
Blues travel to Bramall Lane having beaten Wolves in a replay in the last round in what has been a marathon campaign following their Europa League exploits.
And the winger revealed the team spirit fostered under boss Chris Hughton will hold them in good stead for the rest of the campaign.
"I think we've got a good team and there are no superstars as you would say," said Burke.
"We've got a great team spirit in the dressing room and that shows out on the football field because we want to do well for each other. We're very close together and we know what we can do and what our strengths are and we need to play to them. There are no big egos here and that helps when we work for each other.
"The way things were going in Europe and stuff we were always playing catch-up Once you get into the play-off places you have to think about staying there and kicking on. We've only got one game in hand now but first we've got a tough test against Sheffield United this weekend and I'm sure it will be really tough going there and trying to get into the next round of the FA Cup."
Hughton will check on the fitness of Liam Ridgewell (hamstring) and Marlon King (groin) ahead of the trip to Yorkshire although Stephen Carr (knee) is out. Colin Doyle is set to start in goal.
