Birmingham will be without Jean Beausejour when they travel to Reading in the Championship on Sunday.

Beausejour, who scored his first goal of the season and won the penalty that earned Blues a 2-2 draw at home to Club Brugge in the Europa League on Thursday night, serves a one-match ban.

The Chile international is suspended for picking up five bookings but manager Chris Hughton has Chris Burke, Chris Wood and Marlon King - who scored the equaliser against Brugge - pushing for a place.

Hughton is riding the crest of a wave after nine games unbeaten in all competitions and has been named Manager of the Month for October, which the Blues boss has called "a team effort."

He said: "It's always wonderful to receive accolades but it's very much down to a team effort on and off the pitch. In our first-team coach Paul Trollope and the rest of the coaching and support team I have a great staff.

"But, of course ,without the commitment the players have shown on the pitch this wouldn't have been possible."
