Nikola Zigic fired Birmingham to their sixth successive win with his first goal of the season.

Zigic's strike 10 minutes before the break was enough to see off against Leeds in the Championship, who offered little in response.

Kicking off a sequence of three games in seven days at home, the hosts did not have to wait long to celebrate the first goal of the St Andrew's run.

It was Zigic looking back to his best, the Serbia international picking up captain Stephen Carr's ball inside the area to fire low into the left hand corner of Paul Rachubka's goal.
