Birmingham have insisted they are confident they will meet the financial criteria to enable them to compete in Europe next season after their Carling Cup triumph.
There were fears Blues may not be able to play in the Europa League unless they can assure authorities their financial future is secure.
It came after the club's parent company, Birmingham International Holdings, revealed total debts of £29million.
But acting chairman Peter Pannu is adamant Blues' financial predicament will have no bearing on their European charge next season.
He said: "BCFC is in credit with their bankers. We will have no problem securing UEFA licence approval to play in Europe for which the club had already filed the papers."
Pannu also moved to assure supporters that the club's debts will not have a detrimental effect on their future.
He said: "It's important to note that Birmingham City is a separate corporate entity from BIHL, a listed company in Hong Kong.
"Although a distant subsidiary, Birmingham City FC's accounts are separate and it operates on its own financial basis.
"As for Birmingham International Holdings Limited, the financial support by a major shareholder is a common occurrence.
"There is no cause for concern or any direct links to Birmingham City FC's well-being."
