Aston Villa could turn to Scott Sinclair move
Aston Villa will look at former West Brom loanee Scott Sinclair if their chase for Chelsea's Victor Moses fails.
Manager Paul Lambert is keen to bring in a new wideman, having allowed Marc Albrighton to leave earlier this summer.
Aleksandar Tonev has been deemed surplus to requirements after struggling since joining 12 months ago.
The Villans were linked with a loan move for Blues forward Moses earlier this week.
However, Lambert faces stiff competition for both players and has lined up Manchester City's Sinclair as an alternative.
The former England Under-21 international has struggled since moving to the Etihad Stadium.
He has reportedly been put on the market by the Premier League champions, for a fee in the region of £3million.
Southampton are also thought to be interested in Sinclair, who has featured in both of City's pre-season friendlies during their ongoing tour of the United States.
Sinclair failed to impress at Albion last season under Steve Clarke and then Pepe Mel.
Moses is being chased by a number of clubs, including Everton, West Ham, Newcastle and Crystal Palace.
But Chelsea will have the final say on any deal, following last season's disappointing amount of game-time at Liverpool.
