It is being billed as a huge clash in the fight for Championship survival - and Albion have been handed a huge boost ahead of it.

Following this week's international break - Albion welcome play-off chasing Wrexham on Good Friday before they head to Blackburn Rovers for their Bank Holiday Monday clash.

The win at Bristol City has seen Albion move above just below the Ewood Park side in the table - with the two teams set for a relegation six pointer next month.

And Albion are officially set to be backed by a massive away following for the game - after the club confirmed they have sold out their extended allocation.

The Baggies had already sold out more than 4,000 with their first allocation all taken up by the fans - prompting the club to enter discussions with Rovers over allowing the top tier of one stand at Ewood Park to be opened.

The opening of the top tier was granted and those tickets have now all gone. As of Monday morning, around 6,400 tickets had been sold but the total allocation of 7,396 have now all gone.

It means Albion will take a huge following to Lancashire - and may well rival the amount of home fans in the ground.

There was speculation at Blackburn's draw with Boro on Saturday that the promotion chasing North East side in fact had more fans in the ground that the home team.

That may well be the case heading into the Easter Monday clash.

It comes as ticket information was released for another crucial away day in Lancashire - with Albion being given 5,700 tickets for the trip to Preston - and it is expected that could also be a sell out.
