The Glassboys secured a third consecutive win and extended their unbeaten run in Southern Central League games to six with a triumph at Bromsgrove Sporting last weekend.

Having taken over when Stourbridge were seven points adrift of safety, Adey-Linforth has masterminded a remarkable revival, putting the club seven points clear ahead of tomorrow’s home clash with Stratford Town.

“It makes me so proud”, Adey-Linforth said. “I am loving it there and with the staff I have got behind me. The whole club in general, I have loved being back.

“There is a real togetherness. We are all fighting, from day one we had the belief we could get out of it. Hopefully with a few more wins we will be okay.

“I wanted it in our hands and it is. That for me is the main thing, whether it is a point or seven points.

“We have picked up a few good results and, to be fair, results have gone our way, which has opened up a gap.

“But there is still a lot of work to be done…and plenty of points to play for. Until it is mathematically confirmed we won’t stop or keep looking over our shoulder.

“Obviously it is made easier with a bit of a cushion, but we can’t let that distract us. Anyone can beat anyone and points are still up for grabs. There will be some twists and turns.”

Adey-Linforth, who also works as a performance analyst at Aston Villa, returned to Stourbridge in mid-December.

Stratford Town ended an eight-game winless run with a victory over Royston Town last weekend, and Adey-Linforth expects a tough test tomorrow.

“It’s nice that we are back at home," he added. “Stratford haven’t had the best run lately, but they picked up a good win last Saturday.

"So it is a game that both teams will be looking at to go and get maximum points. They will be wanting to get away from us and we want to get as close to them as we can.”

Elsewhere, league rivals Halesowen Town host Bury Town, aiming for back-to-back victories. The Yeltz sit fifth, just inside the play-off spots.

In the Northern Premier League, title-chasing Hednesford Town visit Stocksbridge Park Steels seeking a fourth consecutive win. The Pitmen are second, level on points with leaders Hebburn Town, with a game in hand.

Rushall Olympic entertain Gainsborough Trinity in a bid to consolidate their safety. The Pics sit 16th, four points above the relegation zone, having drawn four of their last five matches.

Meanwhile, National League North play-off hopefuls Kidderminster Harriers travel to Radcliffe looking to bounce back after two winless outings.
