Darts round-up: Singles title wrapped up in entertaining final

Townsend A Star Jason Lowe clinched the Black Country Super League singles title with a 4-2 win over Allens A's Jack Aldridge.

Lowe raced into a 3-0 lead and seemed comfortable, before Aldridge made it an exciting contest by fighting back to win the next two legs.

But Lowe held his nerve to clinch the match 4-2 and secure the title.

In the Wolverhampton Tuesday League, fourth placed Ashmore were beaten 4-3 by Three Crowns, with Ash Barker, Tony Harper, Mark Jason and Richard Lemonnier causing the upset.

Unbeaten Junction B won 6-1 at Wednesfield Legion courtesy of Ryan Bourne, Paul Price, Dean Fullwood, Paul Simmons, Luke Griffiths and John Simms.

Dog and Partridge B remain second after a 6-1 success over Bradmore Arms, with winning legs from Rich Newey, Jo Tschubenko, Ant Cooper, Nath Jones, Mark Frumenzi and Wozza Brice.

In the West Midlands Super League, Staffs Knot moved back to the top after crushing Gate Inn 5-0.

Jack Aldridge, Jamie Hughes, Will Beaden, Dan Hands and Ryan O’Connor secured the victory.

Junction A had a 5-0 success over Gilberts A, thanks to Ian Stanton, Connor Lucas, Kian Rogers, Wayne Hobday and Luke Griffiths, while Dog & Partridge thumped Hotshots 5-0 with legs from John Simms, Dean Fullwood, Harry Williams, Gavin Baker and Darren Williams.

Unbeaten Coseley Friday Leaders Lower Gornal Bl B had a 6-0 victory at New Gate A, with Spike Green, Adam Edgar, Ryan Green, Geoff Marson, Phil Parker and Ash Marson Winning.

Second placed Parkes Hall whitewashed Darlo Cons thanks to Mark Rollinson, Mark Jones, Jamie Rollinson, Harry Williams, Steve Davis and Jake Robinson.

Hotshots A defeated Grapes 6-0 with Ryan O’Connor, Alfie Corbett, Alex Howells, David Martin, Justin Evans and Jamie Hughes doing the damage.

Glassy Junction enjoyed a 5-1 victory at Ring Of Bells in the Wednesfield Sunday League with winning legs from Sean Bastable, Colin Hawkins, Tom Aldridge, John Aston and Martyn Causer.

Dog & Partridge had a 4-2 success over Cleveland, while Gilberts A defeated Gilberts B 5-1.

Previously, West Midlands moved 16 points clear at the top of the UKDA Championship after crushing third placed Middlesex 22-14. 

Women’s B got the ball rolling winning 4-2 thanks to Shellbie Guest, Kath Jenkins ,Kelly Aston and Hannah Davies, before Mens B had an impressive 10-2 victory.
