Goals from Dom Lewis, Nathan Hayward and Charlie Pavey earned the Glassboys local bragging rights in the No.9 derby with a convincing win at Halesowen.

Stourbridge dragged themselves out of the Southern Central Premier relegation zone with a midweek win over Alvechurch and Adey-Linforth believes his side are closing in on safety after beating their rivals.

"It was a difficult game," he said.

"Defensively we were so good and I think that set the platform for us to go and win the game.

"It was for them (the fans). It's been a tough season for everybody and since I've been here, they've been absolutely outstanding for me.

"For them, the board, everyone, all the volunteers that put so much into this football club to make sure we have a football club, that was for them and it meant the world to them. I'm absolutely delighted.

"Credit to the boys, they've given absolutely everything and we're on our way to getting safe."

Frustrated Yeltz boss Penn pulled no punches when speaking after the defeat, as his call out his side's resilience on and off the field on an 'embarrassing' day'.

"It's a sobering day, to be honest," he said.

"I'm disappointed, I'm embarrassed. It's been a bad day and we deserve everything we get in the next few days because it's not good enough for a team who's trying to do something this season.

"There was nothing in the game in the first half. I thought it was two poor teams actually, not really playing any football.

"They've got the goal, they've got the momentum and they've got something to hold on to and we've done that so many times this season. We're flaky, we're soft, there's no leadership.

"Yes, it's down to me, but it's down to the players as well."
