'Project for a project': Ex-West Brom defender makes 'tried and tested' comment amid Eric Ramsay scrutiny
Eric Ramsay's future has been coming under scrutiny this week - with Albion facing a massive trio of games.
Following their clash with Coventry on Saturday - Albion face games against two sides near them in the battle for survival in Charlton and Oxford.
Ramsay goes into the Coventry game without a win in his first seven games - with Albion unable to discover the 'new manager bounce' under the new head coach.
And former Albion defender Curtis Davies has spoken about the appointment on Sky Sports ahead of the Sky Blues clash.
Davies, who featured for Albion in the Premier League, believes scrutiny around Ramsay isn't actually regarding him but the appointment Albion made on the back of Ryan Mason's dreadful run of form.
He said: "It sounds harsh but it is not about Eric Ramsay the person.
"We spoke after the Birmingham and West Brom game, and how they have replaced a project with a project.
"At this stage of the season West Brom are notorious in this league for being in and around the play-offs but they are not based on the contribution of Ryan Mason.
"If you are getting rid of Ryan Mason, who was a project, you would of expected a tried and tested manager to calm the storm and keep them up."
