Unai Emery reveals what is keeping him 'obsessed' at Aston Villa

Unai Emery has opened up on his “obsession” with keeping Villa in the Premier League top-three.

The boss has regularly played down his team’s chances this season but says while their lofty position in the table might be a surprise to many observers, it isn’t for him.

Villa host Leeds on Saturday, targeting a win which would move them to within five points of leaders Arsenal, with Emery warning his players they cannot afford to relax.

Manchester United sit five points behind Villa in fourth and asked if he was looking either up, or down the table, Emery replied: “I am looking at the position we are in, to stay there and win matches.

“Leeds is my focus and my obsession. To prepare my players and the difficulties we are going to face.

“To try to face them, beating them collectively, mentally, individually with the supporters at Villa Park. They will push us 

“Playing football with our personality for 90 minutes, that is my obsession.”
