Will Tammer Bany play for West Brom this season - after £3.3m signing has made just five appearances since arrival

Tammer Bany's first 12 months at West Brom could not have really gone any worse.

Signed from Randers for £3.3m late in the January transfer window in 2025 - there was excitement around the attacking midfielder who had been linked with moves to Celtic and other European sides.

He made a handful of substitute appearances and looked like he may just have something about him.

He looked raw but he showed good energy and left Albion fans wanting more.

However, since then he has hardly been seen.

An injury towards the end of last season ended his campaign and after featuring on Albion's pre-season trip, he again picked up an injury.

His return was delayed and delayed and he would play just once under former Albion manager Ryan Mason - coming on as an 89th minute substitute in a 3-1 defeat at Queens Park Rangers.

Surprisingly he then went off on international duty with Jordan - and made his debut for the country.

But shortly after returning - he was struck down yet again, this time with a serious injury.

On December 30, Albion confirmed that he had picked up a ruptured thigh and would undergo surgery.

Will we see Bany this season?

When Albion released a statement on December 30, they said Bany would be out of action for around four months.

So that means that he could potentially be back towards the end of April.

But given it was an approximate estimate, and fitness issues when recovering from an injury, it is unlikely he will feature before the end of the season which is scheduled for the start of May.
