No sooner had it been confirmed that the England international had signed a new five year deal at Arsenal - he was opening the scoring for the Gunners in their clash with Wolves.

Saka got on the end of a Declan Rice after five minutes - as Wolves endured a nightmare start at Molineux.

And a freaky statistic emerged that showed how Saka's contract announcement could not have come at a worse time for Wolves.

Saka penned a deal back in 2020 - and in the next game after signing on the dotted line he scored for Arsenal against Wolves in a 2-0 win at Molineux.

And then in 2023 - Saka penned a new deal and the next game he scored against - Wolves.

It may be some time before he pens another one but Wolves will hope the fixture list is kinder to them on that occasions.
