Dudley darts ace Tom Bissell beat a former world champion on his way to the semi-finals of the PDC Tour Player Championship 3.

The world number 80 impressed in Wigan on Monday as he dispatched Mario Vandenbogaerde by six legs to four, before beating Adam Lipscombe by the same score, to set up a clash with former world champion and 20th ranked player Rob Cross.

Bissell turned on the style to also beat Cross by six legs to four, as he advanced to the last 16 to take on the world number 28 Ritchie Edhouse, who he beat in 6-5 in a tight contest.

A 6-4 win over Jim Long in the quarter-final saw Bissell take on Chris Dobey in the semi-finals, where his competition ended with a 7-2 defeat, as Dobey went on to win the final against Stephen Bunting.

Meanwhile, Allen’s A Duo Jack Aldridge and Ryan O’Connor clinched the Black Country Championship Doubles Title by beating Allen's B Wayne Hobday and Sam Bissell 4-1 in a high quality final.

Alridge and O’Connor took a tight semi-final 4-3 over Ian Townsend and Jason Lowe while Hobday and Bissell put out Matt Coleman and Andy Garrett 4-2.

Wolverhampton Tuesday League leaders Junction B made it 24 Games unbeaten by defeating Pheasant 5-2, with Paul Bromley ,Ryan Bourne ,Dean Fullwood, Mark Curley and Adam Teasdale doing the damage.

Red Lion had a 5-2 victory at Wheatsheaf thanks to Tom Millward, Ken Chilton, Nathan Pilsbury, Steve Roberts and Dave Chilton Winning, while Junction A enjoyed a 4-3 success at Dog A courtesy of Len Slade, Mikey Harris, Adam Slade and Rich Ashley.

Gate Inn had a great 3-2 win in the West Midlands Super League over Landywood, with wins from Andy Ashton, Dan Bridgewood and Dan Elcock.

Junction A won a tight 3-2 battle with Chase Social thanks to Kian Rogers, Wayne Hobday and Connor Lucas, while Hotshots had a 4-1 success over Junction B courtesy of Chris Evans ,Myles Thackeray, Lee Shaw and David Thackeray.

Coseley Friday League saw Netherton CC enjoy a 5-1 success over Grapes, with wins from Bobby Radcliffe, Anthony Apati, Dave Male, Abdul Ghaleb and Doug Richmond.

Lower Gornal BL A had a 5-1 victory at Darlo Cons thanks to Paul Watton, Mike Hartshorne, Kev Flavell, Matt Price and Taylor Lewis, while Hotshots B defeated Lower Gornal 5-1 with Shane Gill, Luke Messer, Kian Rogers, Ryan Tinsley and Danny Knight doing the damage.

Cleveland Arms had a 4-2 away victory at Victoria thanks to Daz Perkins, Dean Smout, Josh Norton and James Brown, while Gilbert's A crushed Golden Lion 6-0, thanks to JJ Rowley, Dave Lopez, Chris Hill, Ben Johnson, Dean Showell and Jon Blakemore.

Wednesfield Cons also had a 4-2 success at Ring Of Bells, with winning legs from Connor Lucas, Graham Carrier, Aid Brighton and Craig Locker.

Junction Wolverhampton held The Charlie Daw Memorial KO with 76 entries, as Dan Fellows took a close final by defeating Simon Pritchard. The event raised more than £800 for charity.
