As one of the league's top players, Davies made an excellent 101 break to put Shifnal War Memorial 1-0 up as they hosted Sedgley WMC, and it was soon 2-0 as John Fallows made a 44 break in the next frame.

Martin Coffey Junior won the next to secure the match for Shifnal before another 44 break, this time from Richard Davies, pulled a frame back for Sedgley. The match finished 3-2 to Shifnal, who moved up to third place in the league.

Wednesfield Cons reduced the gap to Division One leaders Hotshots to six points, taking advantage of Hotshots dropping a point after a 4-1 win over Poets Corner, after inflicting a 5-0 whitewash over Shifnal War Memorial B.

Oliver Spooner led the way with a 39 break as he won alongside Dan Ward, Andy Price, Ryan Hamilton and Joshua Walker.

At the other end of the league table, Pennfields continued their battle against the drop, staying above the bottom three after defeating Baggeridge Social Club 3-2.

Jason Hickman won the opening frame for Penn, before a 45 break from Jamie Spence levelled the match.

It looked like going 2-1 to Baggeridge as Ade Ojelay made a 36 break but Colin Reade took that frame for Penn. Dan Petch won the next frame to force a deciding frame which went to Penn's Simon Thomas.

Charlemont Bowling Club remained in the top flight's bottom three despite a 4-1 victory at third placed Landywood Snooker Club which included arguably the frame of the season.

The opening frame saw Jack Harris make a 65 break, enough to win most frames, but Daniel Ward cleared up with a 61 break to win by one point to put Charlemont 1-0 up. Further wins from Ricky Sadler, Chris Compton and John Spencer saw the match go to Charlemont, with Bill Stanton providing Landywood's sole bright spot.

Riley Parsons continued his recent good form, he made a 44 break as Landywood B won 4-1 at Stafford Institute B.

Division Two league leaders Bilston Sports and Social endured a tough night, going down to a 3-2 defeat against Bilston Bowling Club.

Graham Cole made a 31 break to put Bilston Sports one up, but Lee Edwards, Jodi Humphreys and Wayne Bentley took the next three frames and the match for Bilston Bowling Club, with Bentley knocking in a break of 36. Stewart Humphries made a 37 break to win the consolation frame for Bilston Sports.

Beaconsfield cut the gap to the league leaders to eight points with a game in hand after a 4-1 win at Townsend Social Club. Jason Jenns won the opener for Townsend, but a 64 break from Billy Lanham soon made it 1-1.

Craig Crossley made a 42 break to make it 2-1, before Mike Beasley and Callum Wraight made it 4-1.

Landywood D are now eight points clear of their nearest promotion challengers after defeating Essington WMC 4-1. Craig Meredith, Alan Hathaway, Danny Ludgate and Jamie Harris made it 4-0 to Landywood, but a 52 break from the classy Mitchell Lowbridge ensured the whitewash was averted.
