Phillips' eight year association which included more than 250 games for the club, came to an end in 2024.
He went on to sign for Oxford United - but his contract was mutually ended late in the January transfer window.
But Phillips has wasted no time in finding a new club - signing for League One side Stevenage.
The 34-year-old, who was a key player for Albion across a number of seasons - went straight into the Stevenage side and made his debut as a striker in their clash with Huddersfield Town on Saturday.
The winger has signed a deal until the end of the season.
