Mid season change to Sky Sports EFL live picks that gives fans less notice over changes - and days for season deciders

The EFL introduced a new five month process for picking live TV games earlier this season - which was welcomed by fans.

West Brom, Walsall and other EFL clubs welcomed the news that clubs were given five months of notice on changes to the fixture list, if your side had been picked for a live TV game.

It was an increase in the five weeks notice that was the previous rule. It was designed to give fans certainty when they were making travel and hotel arrangements for games.

But that is now changing and will decrease as the season goes on.

Selections for matches scheduled after the first weekend in March will be announced on a four week rolling basis - which began on February 1.

It means a selection for the first weekend of April will be selected in the first weekend in March.

Selections for the penultimate weekend of the regular season will be reduced to three weeks notice - and the final weekend of the regular season will be announced just a week prior.

In February, it is League Two Walsall who are on TV more than Albion.

On February 18, Walsall's midweek trip to Grimsby is on TV, before they also face MK Dons and Shrewsbury Town in front of the Sky Sports cameras on February 21 and 28.

Albion's home game against Coventry City is one that has been selected for live TV coverage on February 21.
