In a club statement, Bilston said: " We understand that there is a video or videos shared by people from the game today. We would like to state that this is not a fair reflection of the game or day as a whole. As a club we are in the process of investigating all footage from today’s game. We would like to thank the supporters of Droylsden FC for their cooperation."

In the game itself, Nelsson Van rounded the goalkeeper to open the scoring, before doubling his tally 15 minutes from time to put the seal on the win.

Meanwhile, there were a clean sweep of postponements across the Midland Football League due to the weather over the weekend.

The only game which took place in the North West Division One South saw Stafford Town fall to a 3-1 home defeat against Cheadle Heath Nomads.

Daniel Lewis completed the turnaround for the Nomads with 69 minutes on the clock, before Harry St Romaine added a third deep into stoppage time.

As a result, Stafford sit three points adrift of the play-off places in sixth.
