West Brom apologise to fans and make u-turn over Oxford United away tickets after consultation
Albion have climbed down from a change in the away ticket process for the clash with Oxford United - following a consultation with the club's new fan advisory board.
The sale process of Albion away tickets usually follows loyalty points system, with those who have the most loyalty points from away matches able to access tickets for upcoming matches before others.
But Albion moved away from that for the trip to the Kassam Stadium on February 28.
Some Albion fans were unhappy with it and following a consultation with the club's fan advisory board - the Baggies have reverted back to their original process.
In a statement, Albion said: "Tickets had been scheduled to go on sale to home season ticket holders on Wednesday – but the club accepts that stance is unfair on the loyal supporters who have travelled up and down the country to back the Baggies throughout the campaign.
"Instead, loyalty points will now be used to prioritise sales from 10am on Wednesday. Tickets remain on sale to away members on Tuesday.
"The club apologises to all supporters for the frustration its previous plan had caused and will implement a process to ensure this does not happen again."
