Former West Brom winger who featured 250 times terminates contract with Championship club on deadline day
Former long serving West Brom winger Matty Phillips is without a club having terminated his contract at Oxford United.
The 34-year-old winger departed Albion back in the summer of 2024 - having played over 250 games for the club.
The Baggies decided against offering Phillips a new deal - and he made the switch to Championship side Oxford United - playing 24 times last season.
However he has only played a handful of times this season. But United fans were left a bit shocked late on deadline day, as it was announced Phillips had seen his contract terminated by mutual consent.
It came just days after Phillips had returned to the United side as he started in their 2-0 defeat to Birmingham City on Saturday.
In total the Scotland international featured 41 times across all competitions, netting twice.
