Non-league round-up: Cup wins and late defeats
Kidderminster Harriers came from behind to force penalties and book their place in the sixth round of the FA Trophy with a win at Halifax Town.
The visitors made a bright start to the game but found themselves behind after 12 minutes when National League play-off chasers Halifax struck through Kieron Morris.
But Harriers continued to probe and hit the post through David Davis' header, before Ryley Reynolds took aim with a shot.
They kept pushing for an equaliser in the second half and after more missed efforts, they eventually found it in the 82nd minute.
A deep cross into the box was not dealt with and the ball squeezed inside the far post from Joe Foulkes.
Max Wright had an effort blocked on the line in the final minute of normal time as Halifax almost snatched a winner, before National League North side Harriers saw Reece Devine fire over.
Christian Dibble made two penalty saves in the shoot-out to help Harriers book their place in the next round.
Manager Adam Murray said: "I'm really pleased.
"It was another opportunity to show what a good team we can be, we knew it would be a tough test, but the players executed the game plan absolutely perfectly.
"We controlled the game. The early goal was frustrating but the response was amazing, we controlled the whole game.
"I'm over the moon. It was a really tough challenge against a really good team.
"For us to stay mentally switched on for 90 minutes and keep ourselves in the game, was outstanding. There was a massive mental output because we could have gone under against a team flying high."
In the Northern Premier, Rushall Olympic suffered late heartbreak with a 3-2 defeat at home to FC United of Manchester.
The visitors took a 2-0 half-time lead and seemed destined to win, until Rushall hit back through Carter Lycett and Alex Moore.
They thought they had earned a point until United netted at the death with a 96th minute winner.
Hednesford Town also conceded late as they had to settle for a draw at Gainsborough Trinity.
An Ahkeem Rose penalty gave them a first half lead, but Henry Brown's 80th minute equaliser denied them all three points on the travels.
Southern Central Premier, there were defeats for both Halesowen Town and Stourbridge.

The Yeltz travelled to Redditch United and were behind within seven minutes.
The hosts doubled their lead shortly after half-time, but Halesowen hit back through Jason Cowley.
It was not enough to get them back into the contest, however, as Redditch grabbed a third and all three points.
Stourbridge also lost 3-0 at 10-men Harborough Town.
In the Northern One West, Sporting Khalsa came out on the wrong end of a six-goal thriller at home to Bootle, while Chasetown lost 1-0 at home to Bury.
Stafford Rangers were also beaten 3-1 by Kidsgrove Athletic, but there was a win for Darlaston Town who beat Lower Breck 1-0.
In the Northern One Midlands, Lichfield City lost 1-0 at Loughborough Students.
