John Swift takes subtle dig at West Brom as Portsmouth embarrass Albion in huge relegation clash

Many West Brom fans were glad to see the back of John Swift in the summer - as the club opted against renewing his contract.

The playmaker had his moments in an Albion shirt but struggled for consistency across his three year spell - having joined on a free transfer from Reading.

He netted 19 times in 126 games but many Baggies fans struggled to take to Swift throughout his time at Albion.

He returned to his hometown club in the summer - and became a regular fixture in the starting line-up for much of the early parts of the campaign.

However, he came in for similar flack from sections of the Fratton Park faithful in recent months.

Swift was a substitute during Saturday's clash with his former club Albion - but came off the bench as Pompey strolled to a comfortable 3-0 win to leapfrog the dismal Baggies in the table.

And Swift took to social media after the game, aiming a subtle dig at Albion as he posted on Instagram, with a picture of himself in the game with the line 'Enjoyable'.

It came after Albion collapsed as they conceded two first half goals at Fratton Park, before the game was settled just four minutes into the second period.
