Non-league round-up: Stafford Rangers celebrate US investment with last-gasp draw
Stafford Rangers rescued a last-gasp point at high-fliers Bury to put an end to their eight-match losing streak in the Northern One West.
Wolverhampton-born Nathan Owen became the latest investor in Stafford Rangers on Friday, following a recent six-figure investment from Dallas-based businessman George Bruneau.
Jack Birch opened the scoring with a lobbed effort just before the half-hour mark, but Bury got back on level terms through Bailey Sloane.
Mo Touray thought he had secured maximum points for Bury when he scored two minutes from time until Kaiman Anderson made it 2-2 in the 90th-minute.
That point leaves Stafford Rangers occupying the final relegation place, but only on goal difference.
