The Manchester City boss’ pronouncement, made during Friday’s press conference ahead of his team’s match against Wolves, has a fair dollop of evidence to back it up.
Arsenal currently have a seven-point advantage at the top of the Premier League and are the only team in the Champions League with a perfect record.
They are also well placed to reach the final of the Carabao Cup and with the FA Cup just getting under way, there is talk of whether they could achieve an unprecedented quadruple.
They’ve only lost two matches all season.
Yet Guardiola’s words, you suspect, will also have been an attempt at mind games at the moment his side seem at their weakest.
