Wallace has returned to the Albion side in the last two weeks - and has made a big impact.

The skipper netted in Albion's FA Cup victory over Swansea City last week - before coming off the bench to score the second goal in their comeback against Middlesbrough, before the Baggies were hit by another late goal.

Speaking ahead of the Friday night defeat, the Albion skipper turned his attention to two of the young Baggies stars, and one who made a big impression against Swansea last week.

Ollie Bostock came off the bench to set up Wallace's equaliser, before stepping up to hammer home the winning spot kick in the Baggies' penalty shoot-out win.

And Wallace has heaped praise on not just Bostock, but one of his fellow academy graduates Alex Williams, who is back in the first team fold having picked up an injury following an impressive start to the campaign.

Speaking in the matchday programme, Wallace said: "I think we all enjoyed seeing Ollie Bostock impact the (FA Cup) tie.

"I've spoken to him a lot during recent months and that experience will definitely help him develop further.

"Likewise, his fellow academy graduate Alex Williams being back in around it at the training ground after a decent period side lined is another good bit of news.

"He began the campaign well and I also have immense belief in him.

"Ollie and Alex have both got talent and the right personalities to make a career, and we'll look after them in their continued journeys."
